Cities up and down the peninsula are hosting trick or treat events that promise a SPOOK-TACULAR time that’s also safe! Here’s a list of some of the best spots for trick-or-treating, and so much more! Admission is free except where noted.

The LEMO Foundation is hosting their first ever Halloween bash full of sport's activities, carnival games, delicious food and a chance to win a $125 Nike gift card!

Kids can win fun prizes and tasty treats from our cafe when they participate in a variety of carnival games! Hop in the batting cages with Foundry Baseball for some whiffle ball fun, or join local basketball legend, Donovan Blythe, inside the glow in the dark basketball court for dribbling drills and shooting contests!

Parents, while your child is bouncing around the inflatables, or perusing our pumpkin patch, feel free to hang out in our cafe lounge and enjoy tasty treats, grab n' go snacks, or a delicious iced coffee. Dads, we will have football games playing for you, ALL DAY LONG (college on Saturday and NFL Sunday)!

Make the day even more memorable by coming in your best costume. Hosted by Left Bank Brasseries in Larkspur, Menlo Park and San Jose, celebrate Halloween with your four-legged friends. Registration for the doggy fashion show begins at noon, and the fashion show begins at 3pm with awards for Best Dog Costume, Best Duo Costume and Most Creative Costume. Prizes include a bottle of Tito’s Vodka (must be 21 or older), Tito’s Doggy Swag, and a $50 Left Bank Gift Card. Doggy treats will be available all day, along with Halloween-themed specialty Tito’s cocktails for the humans.

10% of proceeds will be donated to Humane Societies in Marin, Palo Alto, and Silicon Valley, with a dollar match from Tito’s Vodka.


PALO ALTO

Moonlight Jack-O'-Jaunt

Calling all ghouls and goblins! The City of Palo Alto is holding its 2nd annual moonlit Jack-O'-Jaunt. Bring your best carved jack-o-lantern to be put on display in Lytton Plaza on Friday, October 29, from 6pm-8:30pm. Or join the pumpkin-carving workshop at Lytton Plaza on Friday, October 29 from 3:30pm - 5:30pm. The workshop is available for all ages! 

All carved jack-o-lanterns must be turned over to Palo Alto Recreation staff by 5:30pm to be part of the Jack-O-Jaunt display and contest. You may pick up your jack-o-lantern at the end of the event. 

The community will get an opportunity to vote for their top choice of jack-o-lantern as they stroll through the display. Categories include:

  • best overall jack-o-lantern
  • scariest jack-o-lantern
  • most creative jack-o'-lantern
  • cutest jack-o'-lanterns

Winners of each category will win a $75 gift card to a Palo Alto business of their choosing. Register today at the City of Palo Alto.

Trick or Treat on Addison Street

Addison Avenue neighborhood and surrounding streets will be decorating and handing out candy on Halloween evening.

Door to door trick or treating is permitted after dark until 9pm.

Join the fun at the annual Halloween Spooktacular in Downtown Los Altos. The city of Campbell is hosting its annual Creepy Crawly Halloween event in Downtown Campbell. Bring your two and four legged little ghouls, goblins, and superheroes to our haunted district for some scary good fun and Trick or Treating from 4pm to 7pm.

In addition to Trick or Treating, there will be lots of activities including craft tables organized by local businesses, and photo stations and "photo booths" scattered around the Downtown. Some businesses will also be hosting special events both during and after the event.

Trick or Treating along Lincoln Avenue is a long-standing community tradition, and it's back this year. On Halloween, shops along Lincoln Avenue in Willow Glenn will open up their businesses to trick-or-treating toddlers and babies in strollers from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, and school-age kids in costume from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. In the evening, head to the streets off the main street where you will find houses decked in spooky decorations, and find neighbors handing out plenty of candy.

Also enjoy Halloween themed arts and crafts, live DJ's, air brush face painting, special Halloween characters and more!
