This year’s parade, celebrating the Year of the Snake, features nearly 100 groups, including dazzling floats, elaborate costumes, lion dances, firecrackers, and the spectacular 288-foot Golden Dragon, carried by over 180 members of White Crane martial arts group.
The parade starts at 5:15 PM at 2nd and Market Streets, circles Union Square, and ends at Kearny Street & Columbus Avenue, covering a 1.3-mile route. Admission is free for standing room, while bleacher seating starts at $45, with premium seating options like Section A1 at $65 (covered by a canopy) and Section E3 at $75 (closest to Union Square and includes a gift bag).
The event concludes with a small fireworks display at Union Square and runs rain or shine. Public transportation is strongly recommended, as streets will be busy and parking limited. Arrive early to secure your spot along the route or purchase tickets for reserved seating to ensure the best view.
