A two-day celebration of Indian culture and Independence Day. The Mela/Fair runs both days, Aug 15–16, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with 120+ booths of arts, crafts, food, and cultural exhibits. The grand parade takes place on Sunday, Aug 16, at 11:00 AM, featuring 100+ colorful floats representing Indian regional cultures and Bay Area organizations, with live music and dance performances following from 1:30–3:00 PM. Best parade viewing is at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Paseo Padre Parkway.
