Anuradha Sridhar
Anuradha Sridhar comes from a long line of master artists who have contributed immensely to the field of Carnatic music. She actively started learning in Chennai, South India, at the age of five with her mother, Lalgudi Srimathi Brahmanandam, the reputed sister and violin duo partner of violin virtuoso Lalgudi G. Jararaman, who is considered as developing the Lalgudi style.
Anuradha is synonymous with purity, rigor, and refinement among the South Indian classical music aficionados of the San Francisco Bay Area.
She will be accompanied by her brother, Shriram Brahmanandam.
Shriram Brahmanandam
Shriram Brahmanandam was initiated into the mridangam by the renowned guru Harihara Sharma and later continued his training with C.V. Kuppuswami. He completed advanced training from the percussion stalwart Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer.
Shriram has performed at prestigious venues across the US, including the annual Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana festival and at the Lincoln Center in New York. Shriram's exquisite grasp of melodic nuances and his tonal excellence have won him praise from both peers and seniors in the musical world.
