The original matsuri in Japan is a ceremony to commemorate a deity or a seasonal or historical event. San Jose's Nikkei Matsuri is an annual family-friendly festival showcasing Japanese American culture and its contributions to the cultural fabric of Silicon Valley. This year Nikkei Matsuri returns to its original home in the heart of historic San Jose Japantown.
Live entertainment will be featured throughout the day as well as cultural displays showcasing the traditional arts from Japan. There is something for the entire family at this year's Nikkei Matsuri!
