Fifteen one-of-a-kind floral mannequins created by California designers bring the characters and fashions of HBO’s The Gilded Age to life throughout Filoli’s historic house. Tickets include access to the house and exhibition, and must be reserved for a specific entry time.

Timed-entry tickets are available from 10am to 6pm most days. The exhibition opens at 5pm on September 9, and the final available entry time on September 18 is 3:30pm.

The 5th Annual Vine to Wine showcases Santa Clara Valley Wine Country with more than 20 local wineries, dozens of wines, live music, and a four-course Spanish-inspired harvest dinner. Master Sommelier David Glancy joins local winemakers throughout the evening, which also includes a live auction and other wine experiences benefiting scholarships for future wine professionals.

The inaugural San Jose Book Festival brings together more than 100 authors and publishers, along with bookstores and literary organizations, for a day devoted to books and reading. Visitors can meet authors, discover new titles, attend author panels, and purchase signed books. New York Times bestselling author Karen Joy Fowler will deliver the keynote at 11am, and family programming includes an appearance by Pete the Cat.

The Four (Revisited) revisits a groundbreaking 1973 exhibition at the de Saisset Museum featuring work by Judy Chicago, Lynda Benglis, Miriam Schapiro, and Bonnie Sherk. Through original artworks and archival materials, the exhibition looks back at four influential women artists who helped expand the possibilities of painting, installation, video, and performance.

A free panel discussion and reception will be held Sept. 30, offering additional context on the exhibition and the artists’ impact.
