Best Trick-or-Treat Spots in Silicon Valley

Cities up and down the peninsula are hosting trick or treat events that promise a SPOOK-TACULAR time that’s also safe! Here’s a list of some of the best spots for trick-or-treating, and so much more! Wave from your car as you follow the signs through parking lot B to collect curbside Halloween crafts, books and prizes. Use the QR code to tune into their virtual Halloween storytime at home. Walkers and bikers go to the front of the library. This event is for families with children ages 12 and under. First come, first served. Children must be present to receive goodies.

Trunk-or-Treat Drive Boo

Rev your engine for a fun and eerie drive through Redwood City's Red Morton Community Center parking lot! Marvel at the decorated cars and tricked-out trunks, play a ghoulish game of I Spy, and enjoy a bag of treats and prizes. Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume and dress up their vehicles!

This drive-through event requires pre-registration for a 30-minute time slot. The $10 admission includes car-entry and one treat bag. Additional treat bags are $10. Recommended for kids up to age 10.  


Halloween Hoopla Parade and Trick-or-Treat

Halloween Hoopla is going virtual this year! Enjoy a live zoom event with lots of family fun, including:

  • Spooky storytelling

Costumes are encouraged! You are required to register prior to the event.

Craft kit/goodie bag are being distributed prior to the event for use during event. Pick up your craft kits at:

  • Menlo Park Senior Center or Main Library curbside pickup
    Oct. 24, Oct. 27 and Oct. 29, from Noon to 4 p.m.

Moonlight Jack-O'-Jaunt

Calling all ghouls and goblins. You are invited to carve your best jack-o-lantern for display on the day of the event at the location of your choice. The public is invited to view them on October 30 from 5:30 pm – 8 pm on their moonlight jaunt.

A panel of City-partner VIP judges will come by both locations to vote for their top choice of:

* scariest jack-o-lantern
* most creative jack-o'-lantern
* cutest jack-o'-lanterns.

Winners of each category will win a $50 gift card to a Palo Alto restaurant of their choosing.

From the city of Palo Alto: "Keep in mind that this is not a gathering and gathering at the display is not permitted. Feel free to make an evening of the jaunt by enjoying dinner or dessert at one of the local restaurants!

The Bridges Community Church is hosting a 'Trick-Car-Treat' event that is entirely DRIVE-THRU. Decorated cars decorated will be parked in a circle so that trick-or-treaters can make their rounds (from the safety of their own cars) collecting candy, toys, treats, and smiles from our costumed volunteers.

Who can attend? Anyone and everyone! Adults and children are welcome to wear costumes. Remember to also wear your protective face mask!

Shops along the Los Gatos central commercial district on N Santa Cruz Ave give away candy every Halloween. The Blossom Manor neighborhood, found in east Los Gatos, bordered by Blossom Hill Road, Los Gatos Boulevard, Los Gatos Almaden Road and Longwood Drive, is also popular among children.


Creepy Crawly Halloween Trick-or-Treat

The city of Campbell is hosting its annual Creepy Crawly Halloween event in Downtown Campbell. Bring your two and four legged little ghouls, goblins, and superheroes to our haunted district for some scary good fun and Trick or Treating from 4pm to 7pm.

In addition to Trick or Treating, there will be lots of activities including craft tables organized by local businesses, and photo stations and "photo booths" scattered around the Downtown. Some businesses will also be hosting special events both during and after the event.

On Halloween, shops along Lincoln Avenue in Willow Glenn will open up their businesses to trick-or-treating toddlers and babies in strollers from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, and school-age kids in costume from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. In the evening, head to the streets off the main street where you will find houses decked in spooky decorations, and find neighbors handing out plenty of candy.

Santana Row is hosting a virtual Halloween with Kiddle Karoo on Tuesday , October 27  beginning at 11 am! Everyone is invited to tune in to enjoy a “spooktacular” afternoon of musical entertainment with Kiddle Karoo’s Halloween Adventure. The kids will love it! Kiddle’s puppet pal Molly is afraid of everything. With the help of Kiddle and a cast of silly puppet characters, Molly conquers her fears and learns that Halloween can be fun, not scary.
